Your gift to build the AWIS program will:

Connect early-career scientists with mentors in their chosen field.
Build these scientists’ professional capacity through expert training in leadership; media relations; writing for science, policy, and public outreach; and meeting facilitation.
Cultivate a community of peer support to reduce isolation and attrition.
Support participants in presenting their work at international conferences and integrating into the larger scientific community.
Grow networks to strengthen freshwater research and policy.
Directly benefit 18 scientists in this first cohort and each subsequent group of women.
Strengthen scientific collaboration around 25% of the global freshwater supply.
Help cover internet connection costs and tech support for an AWIS participant.
Pay for a scientist to take part in the International Association of Great Lakes Research (IAGLR) Conference
