Ms. Pauline Gerrard

Pauline Gerrard is the Executive Director of IISD Experimental Lakes Area (IISD-ELA).

In addition to her work on strategic direction and management of the world’s freshwater laboratory, she has a long history in Science Education and Indigenous Relations and is a strong advocate for effective science communication.

Her educational background is in environmental science and ecology. She has worked in North America, Africa, Europe and Southeast Asia, including 10 years with the World Wildlife Fund in Laos, working on wetland management and conservation.

Pauline loves to spend time canoeing across lakes and critter dipping for bugs in ponds and wetlands.
