Benjamin Flavin, Esq.
Partner, Braverman Greenspun
Co-founder and Legal Counsel, ACARE
After graduating college, Ben worked with tenant associations and limited equity cooperatives at the Urban Homesteading Assistance Board, where he provided training and technical assistance to Housing Development Fund Companies throughout the Bronx, Brooklyn and Manhattan. His work at UHAB inspired him to attend law school to continue work with government financed and regulated housing associations. His practice now includes the representation of many HDFCs.
While representation of HDFCs drew him into the practice of law, he also acts as general counsel to all forms of cooperatives and condominiums, where he provides boards with advice on myriad complicated governance and transactional issues they face on a daily basis. His goal is to provide his clients with practical and cost-effective advice assisting them to smoothly operate their buildings and minimize conflicts among owners.
Ben joined Finder Novick Kerrigan (FNK) LLP in 2013 and became a partner in 2020. He joined Braverman Greenspun in 2023 together with his partners at FNK.
Ben generously donates his time and resources to providing legal and strategic advice and counsel to ACARE. He is a 2001 Returned Peace Corps Volunteer and a 2009 graduate of CUNY School of Law.
