2021 Annual Meeting of the

African Great Lakes Stakeholder Network:

Date [TBD], Location [TBD]

The year 2021 has many uncertainties as COVID persists and each country and region has varying degrees of vaccine roll-out and social-distancing measures. Virtual meetings have served the purpose of keeping our network strong and information exchanged, however, we are setting our sites on reconvening in-person.

Therefore, we would like to gauge your desire and ability to gather in-person near the end of 2021. We do not yet have established dates or location, but we anticipate the end-of-year (November, 2021) and likely E. Africa.

For the safety of our staff and our colleagues, an in-person Annual Meeting in 2021 we will require all participants to have their full vaccination. Likewise, if travel is permitted from other countries, it is likely that the host government will require vaccination.

Regardless of the format - either virtual or in person (see proposed agendas below) - we will ensure information exchange between the various advisory groups, have issue-specific workshops, and plan for future research.

Please take part in the below survey to help us guide and plan the format of the 2021 Annual Meeting.

With questions about this survey or the annual meeting, please contact Ted Lawrence at ted@agl-acare.org
